Project
GRAHAM Construction has achieved practical completion of the £81.5 million Candleriggs Square development in Glasgow, enabling Legal & General to begin the internal fit-out ahead of the first residents moving in later this year. Developed through a joint venture between Drum Property Group and Stamford Investments, the 3.6-acre site is widely regarded as one of the final key phases in the regeneration of Glasgow’s Merchant City.
The 325,000 sq. ft build-to-rent development has been designed to meet growing demand for high-quality and affordable city-centre accommodation. The scheme delivers 346 apartments alongside retail and commercial space at ground floor level, helping to create an active and accessible public realm. Key features include a landscaped communal courtyard, roof terraces with panoramic city views, and strong pedestrian connectivity through the development.
Candleriggs Square forms part of a wider £300m masterplan aimed at transforming the area into a vibrant mixed-use destination incorporating residential, office, hospitality and leisure facilities. For construction and fit-out specialists, the project highlights the continued growth of large-scale urban regeneration schemes that combine modern residential living with integrated commercial and public spaces.
